Why write about Adam Lambert? Aren’t there more important things in the world than a singer who does not compromise and who preaches about love? Not really. I believe every person creates their own destiny, and the more they give away the more they get. Adam Lambert is a perfect example of that. He’s maybe a front man, he’s maybe a Name, but he does not keep things to himself. He shares his fame, not just with his friends and family, but with his fans as well. What’s so amazing about Adam Lambert? His band and dancers are a part of his Glamily. His fans are a part of his Glamily. And the world is the glamorous playground where he performs.
The thing about Adam, the very thing that makes him special and different? He makes us love not only him but his people as well. His is the only band I know by name. I love each and every person in his band. Because it’s so freaking clear he loves them, and he shows it every time he goes on stage.
There’s nothing more adorable than a person who appreciate what he has.
Adam Lambert is not just a singer. He’s not just a performer or an artist. He is a creator of dreams. He reads people, he reads his audience, and gives them what they want. We want smoke and mirrors, we want something unattainable and beautiful, something otherworldly. But we also want genuine moments of weakness, softness, silliness. He gives us all that. He can mess up lyrics. He can fall down. He can go overboard. He can make mistakes. And we will love him more for it.
Because he’s so genuine in everything he does.
And because Adam Lambert creates dreams and loves his Glamily we, the fans, need him to confirm that he will keep these people, that Camila, Isaac, Monte, Tommy, Sasha, Taylor, Terrance and Brooke will be there on the next tour (if they are available), that they’re not going to disappear, that we’ll have them, too. Of course it’s possible that this will not happen.
The end of the tour means uncertainty to the fans. It means we don’t get our daily doze of Adam and his Glamily. It means we’ll have no idea what happens next (except that there will be a new album at some point next year).
Thank whatever deity for Twitter. And Isaac and his camera. We love you all. <3
